I’ve been a data fanatic for as long as I can remember. Having spent my entire career in customer management, I am well aware of the need to understand the storytelling that data can provide which helps to make decisions

What is R?

R is not a programming language like C or Java. It was not created by software engineers for software development. It was developed by statisticians as an interactive environment for data analysis.

It has some great features which works for someone who is not an analyst by profession, but can pick up to understand the benefits it can bring.

R is open source and it is free. It runs on all major platforms where scripts and data objects can be shared seamlessly. There is a growing community of R users.

Some key points around R Basics include the R Console and there are ways to gain access to it. Easiest way is simply to start R on your computer!
